SLP 85mm MAF resistor, cut or not cut?

Based on my reading of other posts, I understand that it "tweaks" the signal so the computer thinks a different amount of air is flowing thru it, thus affecting fueling.

If I DON'T want the "tweak" that it does, would cutting off the resistor make it just a plain truck MAF?

If yes, would a plain 2002 truck MAF table supply the ballpark PCM values for the MAF table in a LQ9 based 408 + FAST 90/90 setup?

The car has a 2002 LS1 PCM, with a stock MAF table...Ideally, I'd like to ballpark the values for motor break-in. Don't want to be dialing in A/F and all that while trying to put a few heat cycles in it and get the rings seated.

The resistor is the one on the left, right?

I took my resistor out becuase it made the maf show as bad. You need to scale it the same as a stock 05 truck is what mine is at. Look in the stock tune files and find a tune on a stock 05 truck maf and copy and paste to your maf table. that way it has gm's table for a truck in your tune. That is without the resistor. I dont think you need to do it with the resistor in but I could be and most likely am wrong.

I have heard that the aftermarket maf's just alter the signal.(must be that resistor) If you have EFI Live you should not need to alter the maf signal since you can just tune for it.
