Greetings! Trying to familarize with this tool. Lots of information & haveing a bit of a problem trying to figure out why logged timeing isin't matching what I programed in the octane map. I overwrote & matched HI to Low maps. Commanded 25 degrees @ WOT & seeing only 20 with no knock issues. What do I need to bypass or alter to make this happen? In the search section I'm not haveing any luck finding this basic info. Regards Lou

Welcome!! More then likely you are having timing pulled by either your IAT vs Spark, ECT vs Spark, or a transmission Spark setting. If you can post your log up, we can take a look at it and give a better idea of what is happening.

You should log ALL the spark "DMA" PIDs.
You can find them in the Scan Tool [PIDs (F8)] tab page, by selecting "Spark" in the System drop down list box.

Select and log the following PIDs:
    SAE.RPM
    SAE.TP
    SAE.SPARKADV
    GM.KR
    EST_BTM_DMA
    EST_KRB_DMA
    EST_CAT_DMA
    EST_ECT_DMA
    EST_EGR_DMA
    EST_EQR_DMA
    EST_IDLE_DMA
    EST_IAT_DMA
    EST_NR_DMA
    EST_SMT_DMA
    EST_TRQ_DMA
    EST_TRAC_DMA
    EST_XMSN_DMA

NOTE: these PID names are listed in the right-most column. When searching for PIDs, you can click the PID column headers to sort the PIDs by that particular column. Each click resorts the list either ascending or descending.

One or more of those spark PIDs should show you where timing is being pulled.
You can right click on most of them to get "More info...", usually the "More info..." tells you which table in the Tuning Tool can be used to alter that particular spark's contribution to the final run spark.

    Regards
    Paul
