Default buying another Vette PCM Serv. number differant?

does it make any differance if the serv number on the pcm is differant than the one I have in the car right now? It came out of a 97 vette and that's the same year as mine.

If it's the same year, it should be ok.

The difference in just in the software. If you load yours in, it will match your car.
