Can I switch my Flashscan-1 from my old C5 VIN to my new C6 LS3?

Hello,

I'm assuming that my Flashscan-1 can be used with my new C6 LS3, is this correct?

If so, can I switch the unit to use the VIN of my new car?

No, you will need to upgrade to a V2 cable to tune your C6. That PCM uses a CAN based communication and your V1 can only do VPW. V2 does both. Also, licenses are not transferable from car to car, each PCM must be licenses separately.

kb is right, have to get V2 to do an LS2+ (so LS3) as its CAN.

And no, VIN licenses do not transfer, have to use another license to tune it. BTW, if you upgrade you will get 2 more VIN licenses on the V2 unit plus you can transfer the 1 leftover (if you have it) on your V1. I did this so I have 1 used and 5 free VIN licenses.
