I was wondering if I could use an 03 LB7 pcm in an 2001 3500 LB7 ZF6 dually truck?
Off the top of my head I can't recall if you can run the 2003 OS directly in the 2001 truck. If not, you could always flash the 2001 OS in to it.

I want to put another pcm in my truck due to the 01 stock pcm locking me out from tuning. So I'm trying to see if an 03 pcm would be pin compatible with the stock 01 pcm.
What's wrong with the 2001?

this is a link to thread that describes the problem. The truck mentioned is my work truck and I can't afford to pull it out of commission to send the PCM off. I would rather get another pcm and start that way. I can only find 02 and new lb7 pcms to purchase fairly cheap. Thats why I'm asking If I can swap the pcms out.
