    Default 2nd and 4th only again

    my situation as follows.

    97 chev k3500 454 4l80e
    bought truck with bad trans. i built the trans and all went well. new converter, banner kit, EPC, bands, bushings,filter. all air checked great.

    get back together and have no 1st and OD. starts in 2nd and shifts firm to 3rd. checked harness for cuts and breaks visually,(none) and pulled VB checked all shift valve bores and ohmed out solenoids (24.8 and 25 on A and B). air checked case before i reinstalled VB and all is still good. after reassembly still have no 1st and OD. oh and almost forgot NO CODES with a TECH 2 and SNAP ON scanner.

    any help would be greatly appreciated. and calls accepted 865-556-2977

    well all wiring from ecm down to shift solenoids ohm checks good and i still get no 1st or 4th.

    thanks to rickwils51 for wiring info

    can anyone help with this?

    it air checks good and VB is clean and solenoids ck good.

    fixed it!!!

    dont ever trust that a "NEW" solenoid is "GOOD" the 1-2 shift solenoid i bought at the chevy dealer checked good with a multimeter and i got frustrated and changed it again and walah i have 1st and 4th!

    Glad to hear its fixed, but isnt it really frusterating buying a new part that doesnt work?? I hate that, have to go back and rip it all apart again.

    ya it sucked! but im glad i finally figured it out.
