    Default Dwell time

    Hi All,
Mick was bored today so he set up a spreadsheet to compare the stock 98 5.7L Tahoe dwell times with those of the 2002 Express Van alot of us are using for the PCM swap.
What kind of diferences will the dwell times make?
Here's the table he came up with.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Im wondering about this too. But ive read some stuff about it that said it will basically get you knowhere just shorten the life of the coils.

I guess you could use it to run a wider spark gap?

I'm more curious as to why there seems to be a difference between the van tune dwell times and the Tahoe/Suburban tune dwell times?
    Same motor.

    Default Hummmm

    Hummmm,

compare the coil part numbers, also I read that aftermarket ignition leads make a difference.

    Just a thought.

Rev it up, Drop the clutch, See what happens?
