    Question Pids don't respond!

    Hi all,

I have a problem with my Flashscan.
When I record a session some data doesn't change its value.
For example the ltft 1 works fine and the ltft 2 stays at 58%. The same with the vehicle speed. It stays constant at 58 km/h. The TPS is constant at 23% and so on.
RPM, Airflow, LTFT1, Intake temp, ECT work just fine.
The car also doesn't seem to have any drivability issues.

One thing I have noticed is, when I clear all values and start the engine it will show correct values for a few seconds and then will jump to the fixed valued and stays there.

I always check all PIDs before I log but lately the MAP sensor won't respond and will act as if its not there.

Is there any way to reset all sensors?

    BTW. I use COS3 in a LS1

    Please help me,
    Thanks,
    Alex

Can you try selecting 24 or less channels. The channel count for the selected PID list is displayed at the bottom of the [PIDs (F8)] tab page.

The channel count for each PID is displayed in the Channels column.
As you add/remove PIDs the channel count will increase or decrease in multiples of 6.

A PID selection with a total channel count of betweeen 1 and 6 will display 6 channels.
A PID selection with a total channel count of betweeen 7 and 12 will display 12 channels.
    etc.

    Regards
    Paul

Actually, it appears you can have up to 36 channels selected.

However, there is a bug in the channel count display. No matter how many PIDs you select the channel count does not increase past 36. If you have selected PIDs so that the channel count is 36 channels, then some PIDs' cvalues will not be updated. (i.e. those PIDs that are beyond the 36 channel mark).

You can see which PIDs are being requested from the PCM (and therefor which ones are not), if you display the [Console (F12)] tab page when you first start logging data.

To temporarily work around this problem until it is fixed, please manually add up the channel counts and make sure you do not select more than 36 channels.

I still recommend selecting only 24 channels as the logging speed operates at its fastest when 24 or less channels are selected.

    Regards
    Paul

I certainly have more than 24 pids active right now. I will use a default selection and try again.

    Thanks for the tip.

Just as a follow up: by reducing the selected pids I could get it to show the correct values again.
    Thanks Alex
