    Default COS3 initial NA setup, B3647, A0014 and A0008 ????s

Well I loaded up COS3 (04073003) followed the tutorial, performed a full flash of COS3, then a calibration flash of my previous tune, then downloaded it so I could adjust it. Then I did a full flash of my previous tune so I can drive the truck while I am working on the COS3. This is for a NA truck with very mild mods, I am doing this mainly to get the leaner AFR during cruising to help with MPG, and basically something new to try and screw around with ...

    Now to my questions:
    1. I adjusted the new Commanded Fuel vs RPM (B3647) to the following.

I won't be using PE for my fueling just this table. I set up the 90-100kpa columns to start out lean then get richer at peak torque (~4500rpm according to most stock dyno graphs) then leaner toward shift point (6000 rpm) then richer after shift point. I will verify all this on a dyno after I get gears. I also leaned the AFR out in the cruising cells to help MPG...

So how does this table look?

    2. IAT VE Multiplier (A0014). I have set this table to 1.00 initially until I AutoVE again. I will take note of the Ambient and IAT during the AutoVE tuning and set the corresponding value in the A0014 table to 1.00 since that is the temp it was tuned at.

The above the tuned IAT/Ambient temp (hotter) I need to make the multiplier < 1.00 ( .99, .98, .97, etc) to decrease the VE value thus richening up the mixture? And the opposite for the cooler IAT temp (1.01, 1.02, 1.03)?

    What is a good steping range to use, I was going to try every row +or - .01 (1.03, 1.02, 1.01, 1.00, .99, .98, .97, etc)

    3. Open Loop ECT Commanded Fuel Mutliper (A0008 ) I initialy set this table up as all 1.00s. Do I just need to make it a little richer (< 1.00) in the colder regions to help when the truck is warming up? Like <140?? What would be a good stepping range? .01 per row (.97, .98, .99, etc)..

    4. What do I do with A0000, A0001, A0002, and A0011

    5. Do I need to add the files in the COS3 sticky or has that been fixed?

    6. Would it be best to return my Spark Tables back to stock for initial tuning? Like I said the truck will be on a dyno after I get some gears...

He helped me on another forum. Just in case anyone would like to know.

I'd suggest starting with 1.2 or so, leaning to 1.15 by 68*F, then lean to 1.0 by 122.

What I'd suggest for the A0014 would be to filter your AutoVE values for a specific temp, then nail that table down.

Then, as your IATs change, adjust the A0014 as needed to maintain a BEN of 1.0
Gotta love Justin, always willing to help the newbies!!!
