    Question Running rich ls1 corvette 402 stroker

    Does any one no why my car would be running really rich when i have my ifr's set to what they are supposed to be for 42lb injectors and when i set them leaner to 5.507813 it runs really good and idles good now too. When i set the ifr's to 6.110675 it runs terrible. Ive looked at several tunes with 42lb injectors and none of them have their ifr's set as High as the injector calculater says they should be. I must be missing something or miss understanding?

    Have you tried the auto VE again Adam?
    With the IFR set correctly I imagine it would make a difference.

    YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
    MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
    IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

    Yes, now that your IFR table has changed, your VE table will have to change also. And if you were previously MAF-tuned, your MAF table may have to change also.

    Are you sure you have 42-pound injectors? It sounds like they're 36-pounders based on the fact that the engine runs better when you use 5.50 rather than 6.11. That may sound like a stupid question, but I can't tell you how many times I've found injectors that don't flow anywhere near the rate that the seller claimed.

    You guys were right, i found out i have 40lb instead of 42 lb, and they are a high impediance injector and they are rated at 43.5 psi so should i change my fuel rail pressure to 43.5 instead of 58?

    Measure your rail pressure with maifold reference hose disconnected (it should be 58 psi or close);
    insert this number into the calculation.

    (remember to reconnect the reference hose).
