    Default Vortec PCMS

is dsp2 availible for vortec pcms? If so what pin would we use for the switch. Right now I converted my 4.3L V6 over to e85 and would like to have a toggle switch to toggle back and for between gas and e85.

    Thanks

Sorry, COSs are only available for 512kb LS1 PCMs. Im pretty sure you could do an 0411 PCM swap (used in Express vans) and put a COS in that though. A lot of Vortec guys are doing this so they can actually tune their trucks as EFILive/HPTuners dont support the 96-97 Vortecs and 98-00 support is much more limited.

okay, that is what I thought, I was using tunercats software and have got it dialed in pretty well, but now wanted to switch between the two fuels, so that I can drive the truck long distance. What are the pin outs for the 0411 PCM.

    Thanks

I have no idea, there are a bunch of guys who have done the swap, hopefully one will chime in and let you know whats really involved. I just know doing it opens up a TON more options as its an LS1 PCM so COSs and all the fun stuff the F-Bodies and Vettes got are available to you.

sorry, should have worded that better, don't need the pin outs for the ecm entire harness, just for where the switch goes, I tried doing a search on here, no luck.

    thanks

Im sorry, I misread your original post. There is NO fuel switching available for ANY OS for a GM car. DSP2/5's are for Duramax diesels, for gas I think you can use COS5 to compensate for E85. Have you downloaded the latest release and looked at the COS5 files? Thats what Id say now, free to do and see if its what you are looking for.

okay, I have tried to download the new cos5 but haven't been able too. I have the lastest version 7.5.3 with automatic downloads, but every time I hit update now, nothing hgappens? Is there any way someone could send me the cos #5 0202005, seems gm used 12212156 cal also for later 4.3L V6 so looks like I also in luck. I was lookin thought the service manuals and looks like the only sensor I need to change is the knock, all others should work. I am not sure this cal may work with e85 because the only settings I have changed were the stoich a/f ratio, pe multiplier, and cool start fuel parameters. This is also in a vortec pcm, the ls boxes maybe different.
