i need to reprogram my BCM to have keyless remote or foglights.

No, it doesn't write to the BCM.

But it can read/clear DTC's from the BCM if the BCM is on the serial bus.

i need to let the bcm know that my truck has fog lights so it can work i guess i'm gonna have to go to the stealer (dealer) and get ripped off just to reprogram the bcm
