Could a VE HSV E38 307kw tune be flashed into a 6Ltr VE commodore?
They look to have the same O.S number, calibration number and use the same calibration definition file. I understand the HSV is an LS2 and the commodore an L98, just curious.

It's all good until it goes "Bang"
Its not a good idea. They have different injectors and are a different engine with different cam etc. It would work though.

you're better copying and pasting certain tables IF you think they would be advantagous for your application....some of the tables I found useful when doing a cam upgrade in a VE, you can look at the HSV calibration and see where the changes are made as the LS2 has a mild cam compared to the VE model. Points you in the right direction anyways![]()
"Just a tune > yeah right !!!! "
There is hardly anything of value in teh 307 tune to put in a SS tune. I would stick with modding the SS tune.

+1. One's a LS2 one is a L98 and the factory tunes aren't the best.
