Default Anyone try v8 with XP Home Edition?

I installed the latest v7.5 and v8.x builds on my netbook (XP Home Ed.)last night, installed the USB driver and connected my V2. The driver loads and the OS sees the FlashScan... but when I run the Flashscan Explorer... I cannot see any of my tune or scan files on the V2 itself. I get "Invalid Folder" errors. I plug it back into into my Windows 7 laptop and all is good.

Has anyone used XP Home Edition with v7/v8?

    I pm'd Tech Support.

Do you have any way of saving those files to a different PC (so as to not lose them)...?

Yeah, thats the error code that I got too.
I did save the files on my other laptop incase the XP Home causes corruption.
No file damage. I was hoping to mount the netbook in the car for digital dashes. :(

Its possible you have two different versions of the EFIlive V8 software installed on those machines.

Early versions of EFILive_Explorer expect the folder structure on FlashScan to look like something like this:
    /EFILive/V7/Scan
    /EFILive/V7/Tune

Later versions of EFILive use the folder structure:
    /EFILive/Scan
    /EFILive/Tune

So later versions of the software may report "folder not found", depending on whether you have the old or new folder layout on your FlashScan device.

If that is the case, copy all the log files that you want to keep from your FlashScan device (and any SD Cards that you have used with FlashScan) and then using the reformat option built into FlashScan, reformat FlashScan's internal memory and any SD cards that you want to use with FlashScan.

    Regards
    Paul

I had build 57 installed, build 58 gives the same error with XP Home.
The config files in the V2 are not visible with XP Home as well.
    XP Pro no problem.

I will update to the latest and report back.

I just remembered... my Win7 laptop has the latest BBL/BBR beta... which in following the directions, I reformatted the V2. On the Netbook, I have the release/web version. I just instaled the BBL/BBR beta on the Netbook... and now it works fine.
Looks like file system changes were causng the problems.
    Off to log data!

Build 99/75 here too. Working good on XP Home. Logged, tuned and flashed tonight with the netbook no problem.

Simple version conflict problem looks like. Whew.
