    Default 98 Suburban Walbro retrofit.

    Hi Guys,
I did this a few weeks back.
Just for those who may be interested in swapping to the 255 Walbro and can't find any info on it.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Welcome Joe...if it helps someone out...great!
To date...no issues with it. I've run to just less than 1/4 tank without problem.
Actually...when I first put it in....it started and ran with about 2 gallons of fuel in the tank.

i know this thread is old but i have done this modification aswell. and i recommend it over a complete sending unit replacement even for stock vehicles.

its actually quite easy, mines been running trouble free for a year, and the pump is not noisy IMO.

I used the GS342 Walbro and put a fitting in port to hook that line up to keep the bucket filled. I also re-used the accordian pressure line out, it fits over the pump outlet quite tightly, i then used a small clamp to retain it.

    Nice work.
I have the old Wahlbro that needs the bucket altered and
I've got to be careful taking corners with >1/8 of a tank of gas.
