    Default Did my V1 die?

I connected to a LS1 swapped RX7 yesterday, then logged for almost 20 minutes in my C5 with no issues. Today there isn't any usb light activity on the blackbox and my laptop keeps asking me to install new drivers. I'm logging using ver7.2 right now. However I hadn't had any issues running ver 7.5. Any suggestions? As I've tried different usb ports, making sure there was sufficient power at the usb ports, hell I cant count how many times I've rebooted and reseated the connections on the blackbox also.

    Thank You

Does the V1 power from the USB port or from the vehicles OBDII port at all?

Does the device show up in the Device Manager list on the PC?

Perhaps also do the following and send a screenshot to support@efilive.com:
    - Connect the FlashScan V1 to your PC
    - Open the Tune Tool
    - Go to the 'Help->FlashScan v1 PCM Licensing' menu option

Plugged into the car the obd light flashes a couple of times like normal. During computer power up the leds swing up then down through all leds (starting and ending with the usb led). Then the unit is just dead. Tune tables are stuck in demo mode and the scanner won't connect. If the blackbox is connected to the laptop only I'm stuck in demo mode and receive a message saying the efi flashscan is not connected to the computer when going into the help section.

Oh and in device manager where the efilive use to be now is a "FTD fl8u2xx" device is shown.

Then you need to update your drivers. If you can find the post on how to manually update the V2 drivers you can just follow that to fix your problem.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything twice with no luck. Followed the instuctions above (Thanks!) and the damn thing is still stuck in demo mode. I connect the flashscan and the leds cycle up and down, then nothing.

Actually the link to MProg has changed since that post was made.
    It is now: http://www.ftdichip.com/Resources/Ut...g3.0_Setup.exe

Edit: Although, just now I also updated the link in the original post.
