No response from vehicle

ok so about a month ago my company laptop crashed and everything had to be re-installed including my efi live ver 7.3 commercial. i had this problem when i first got it also. after i connect the flash scanto my car i keep getting the error no response from vehicle when i try to do live data monitering. i forgot how i got it to work the first time. seems no matter what i try i cant get it to work. any ideas? thanks...

Is the USB driver installed...?

Post some screenshots of your connection attempts.

yeah i re-installed the driver also it'll connect to the car(the green connect button) i also was able to tune, just when i try to do live data monitoring it gives me the error no response from vehicle. ill get some screen shots when i get home and post it up.

Also, copy the text from the Console tab and paste it in this thread.

So you can flash but not scan...?

i can flash, and scan just cant do real time data, haven't tried to log yet either since re-installing everything but im assuming it's not going to work also.

The first thing you should do is to upgrade to the latest software V7.5.4 here:
http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=8384
A number of comms and connection issues have been resolved in that update.
