    Default January 2021, V8.3.4 Beta 1

    ATTENTION - BETA SOFTWARE RELEASE
We strongly recommend that you do not install the beta software over the top of your production systems. It is possible that the beta test software may fail and your production system may not be recoverable. lf you conduct a tuning business, please take the necessary precautions to protect your business. EFILive recommends beta testers use a separate FlashScan V3/V2 device (when installing the latest beta firmware) and only install the EFILive beta test software on a separate PC, laptop or virtual machine.

The current public release is available here.

    Attention:
V7.5 no longer supports installation to Windows XP or Windows Vista. This change is due to SHA1 having been deprecated by digital certificate authorities. More info on SHA1
    V7.5 and V8 are now only supported on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.

    Full Release Notes:

    Version Numbers:
After installing this beta release you should have the following software and firmware versions installed:

    • EFILive V7 software: V7.5.33 To view the installed version, select Help->About (in the V7 Scan or Tune software).
    • EFILive V8 software: V8.3.4 To view the installed version, select Help->About (in the V8 Scan and Tune software).
    • FlashScan/AutoCal V3 Firmware: V3.00.058 (Jan 22, 2020).

Do you have your V7 registration details entered correctly?

If they are not entered correctly, then:
    1. having V2 connected will bypass the registration details validation and you won't see any demo mode.
    2. having V2 disconnected will fall back to demo mode.

Send me the registration details that you have entered and I will check if they are valid.
    Send to paul@efilive.com

    Regards
    Paul

Does this update include the ability to load CAX8 files without a CAM file?

For selected controllers, yes: E55, E69 and E77.
You can see in the cam folders for those controllers the empty 99999999.cam file.

The 99999999.cam file is loaded if/when a tune file is opened for which no matching *.cam file can be found. The 99999999.cam file has no calibrations defined in it, so any additional *.cax8 files that are loaded will contain the only calibrations that show up.

I can add equivalent 99999999.cam files for other controller types - which ones would be most useful to start with?

    Regards
    Paul

Could you do A50, E98, T87 and E35A&B whenever you have a chance?

Then I can get to town testing out V8 Editor!
