Yep, and steps 10, 11, 12 and 13 were wrong as well. All fixed now.

After opening a second file to do a compare, the compare icons don't appear on the screen. They're on the pull-down Calibration menu (Ctrl+ 4, 5 and 6)and function properly, but previously, they showed up on the page for whatever table was open. Software problem or user problem?

Disregard, apparently fixed by pre-release 3 or by 03 cal file.

FRom the Pre-release_003 Download page:

After the pre-release has been installed, you should check that the following version numbers are displayed in the Help->About window:
Tuning Tool V7.3.0 (Build 268)
Scan Tool V7.3.0 (Build 277)
obdiiV7.dll: V7.3.0 (Build 412)

Are these the updated build numbers?

I updated from 001 -> 002 -> 003 and I'm showing Build numbers 273, 281 and 417, respectively.

I can still access alternate cals from the menu or with crtl 4/5, but I no longer see the buttons for ALT and CAL.

However, It now seems to let you view a standard and custom O/S based tune side by side. My taskbar thanks you.

One thing that confused me is that the flash options are listed as:

Read PCM calibrations
Program PCM calibrations
Program PCM operating system and calibrations

but since .tun files contain calibration and operating systems (see this post) shouldn't the first option be "Read PCM operating system and calibrations?"
