EFILive Flash Scan does i'm sure. Or is 1993 VR too early?

Your ECM uses an EPROM... you remove the EPROM, suck out it's contents, use a hexadecimal/binary editor to make changes to published locations, recompute the checksums, UV erase the EPROM and program it with your newly edited binary... and replace the EPROM back in its socket on the ECM.

FlashScan can program a flash based ECM/PCM (and then only certain ones... LS1/6/2/7, E38/40/67...).

The ALDL cable you're using only supports OBD-I data logging.

You can data log and clear codes with EFILive V4 for the holdens from VN to VT. There is a V4 section on this forum
It's all good until it goes "Bang"

    Question Help

Thanks Guys for clearing that side up! Can ask one more question?

I'm actually trying to finish my 8192 Baud ALDL interface and just wondering what pins do I have to connect with the 16 pin OBD-II style Australian Connector...

Is it just pins 5 and 9 on the connector end? What about 12v pin 16? How will the MAX232 get power. And where I've circled it "mode select" is this only for the 160 baud? Do I need to worry about this? I just need someone to clear this up. (it's not a very good diagram)

    Thanks In Advance.

All sorted! right hand side is serial and left is ALDL connector. The bit where I circled I wont have to worry about, only with earlier models where the computer doesn't store the data (I think)
    All fixed.
