    Default Tech Edge 2J1 HELP.....

Hi, I have been playing with a Techedge unit, we are having trouble with it spiking... Swingtan helped us with getting some settings re done on it yesterday which removed the spiking... When we logged again today the spikes are back...Can some one tell us how to save the settings we entered so we don't have to do it every time...

    Shot of spiking:

We did the chages as per the following::

http://wbo2.com/sw/util.htm (link to tech edge controller program)

1: start the TE-Utils application ( down load from the site if needed )
2: plug the TE into the laptop.
3: Select the serial port for the TE. When you get the right one, data should appear in the screen.
4: In the "Command" window, enter the following
    s0401
    then press <return> or <Enter>
(This enters the value "01" into memory location "04")

5: In the "Command" window, enter the following
    w
    then press <return> or <Enter>

(This "w"rites the changes to non-volatile RAM, so it will be there after you remove power)

This worked well... it just seems to of not saved the changes..

    Any help would appreaciated//

    Thanks ntae...

Ok, I think I may of found our mistake. If i re-read the info on here: http://wbo2.com/sw/logtech.htm ,

    Where it says:
"Note that the sxxyy commands (such as s03e0) are generic commands to set configuration byte xx to the value yy. They are often followed by the w command used to permanently save configuration memory."

Would it be taken that you don't enter the "W" seperatly but at the end of the command... eg s0401w instead of how it is written in my first post being entering the memory comand s0401 as one command and pressing enter, and then entering "W" as a nother command seperatly...

hmmm.... will have to try it tommorow.

    Default V2 file trouble

Ok, quick up date on progress. After doing some testing it seems that is not the wide band at all.Setting up the laptop through the V2 and logging straight to the laptop, there is no spikes.Unplugged the laptop and did a bbl, download the file and you guessed it they are back. So it must be in the filing system in the V2. Got a hold of another V2 to do some more testing, to see if I can isolate to my V2, Another problem I seem to have with it is I dont seem to be able do any logging no the inbuilt memory. It goes through the motions and gives all the info on the screen as I am logging, but seems to empty when I try and tranfer the data across. Have formated the files, Has any 1 had this problem. Ian

Did you set the V2 up so that it would send the data to the interenal memory instead of the SD card?? you have to manualy change that in the menu setting if i remeber correctly...
