I remember PC's back in the late 80's, they were a joke, It was normal to spend 2 days just trying to get the OS to load all the drivers correctly without conflicts (remember manually setting the IRQ's). You won't find me defending how great Wintel PC's are.

My old Z80 CP/M cobbled-together microcomputer had a 5MB hard disk attached using a Western Digital controller...
