Fast, IE and Firefox would be fast too if Java and Flash and blah, blah was stopped. I'll give it a go, but to be honest, IE7 does seem to run pretty nice for me. I've tried to like Firefox but I just find that at least once a day I come across a website that displays a bit goofy.
Mind you, I've just installed Chrome and you are right, it feels fast.

    Cheers,
    Ross

Yeah Java is about to fix that problem with new tool set (funny the new set is called "V8") , Google is going to try and unify content .
It is less memory intense than IE and FF .
A good little read about features : http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquir...-revolutionary
They say IE8 is real bloated !

    Enjoy

I've been using Google Chrome since you posted this thread, not one crash, it's very fast (like the old Netscape browsers were), some nice new features. The Google takeover of the world is one step closer in my book, I'm sold.
I wonder if they will port it to AmigaOS 4?

    Cheers,
    Ross

I am very impressed with it as well .
Think they are on to something here .
    AmigaOS 4 is a nice looking OS , never had a Commodore 64 , just TRS 80 to Win98 .

I'm just an old school C64 / Amiga guy that was forced to PC's kicking and screaming, I'll get over it one day.

I DL'ed it last night, and it's fast all right, lol... I can't run my page scroll on my laptop in it, it just shoots the page from the top to the bottom and back so fast I can't control it. The mouse property's don't seem to have any affect on it :(

Ahh, what about the one before the C64, The VIC 20! I had one of these, complete with tape drive, and, books full of Basic language programs to spend hours typing in just to make a square move around on the monochrome monitor!
