    John, welcome...

    No worries, ask all the questions you want... but do read your scan/tune tool pdf manuals (and the tutorials), they contain lots of info...

    What motor do you have...?

    First, warm up motor, and allow to idle;
    In scantool, select your PCM,
    Go into DVT, start CASE Relearn;
    Within 10 seconds, you have to increase throttle such that RPM exceeds 4000 or 5000...
    you will feel/hear the motor stumble unmistakenly, and...
    immediately release throttle and let motor spin down...
    when idle has been reached, wait a few moments...
    then turn off key and wait at least 15-30 seconds.

    If you don't get the stumble, then the relearn attempt did not work.

    Cheers
    Joe

    well i would like to give a big THANK YOU for the welcome,
    know what, i forgot to unplug the egr then it ran perfect
    but when i do the motor transplant i am glad that i now know where to get help with a relearn.
    question, if i change the motor to say a lt1 or anything other than a vortec, i just have to use the correct tune that is posted?

    thank you all that enjoy helping others

    Not exactly sure what you mean John?
    You would need a tune from a vehicle with that motor and operating system..AFAIK.
    Howard

    YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
    MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
    IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
