Default OR, neat things to do with your computer - Camaro mount.

Tired of looking for a way to use your PC while logging?

So was I - so I invented a wood mount for the laptop.

The 98-02 Camaros have a silly passenger cupholder (This ain't a minivan, ya know!) and I have finally found a use for it.

Drop the can-sized tab into the cupholder and rest the legs on the seat.

Prototype done, now for the prettying up...

Will add foam on "legs" (allowed an inch for leveling), add straps or velcro for laptop, sand, fill and paint gloss black, and place it in that passenger cupholder and go.

It clears brake handle, allows for adjustment of screen, and doesn't get in to the way of the airbag ...

clever but I have to wonder if that flip out cupholder is gonna take the weight for long.

    That's just a pivot.

    The "legs" take the weight.

One thing I didn't factor in is the center of balance - that laptop is weighted big-time on the rear, so If I did this all over again, I'd move the "legs" outboard a bit, or make them longer.

Moving the passenger seat forward, leans the assembly down, and compensates for this.
