    Default possible to unlock 6th & 7th gear on older allison?

    just a question, they can do it at the dealers (larger truck), just wondering if it is a possibility with the software only???

    No seventh gear...in allison 1000 on light duty trucks. Are you talking about the Kodiaks and Topkicks?

    no you cant have 7th gear on ANY 1000/2000 series allison. 6th gear is C2 and C4 I think. Next up to get this "hypothetical" clutchpack order would be C2 and C5. If you apply C2 and C5 you get a tie up. Boom.

    C2 and C5 create a transbrake since they're splined together. The MD3070's have seven speeds, but have another clutch pack and planetary added to the back.
