Default problem lowering throttle idle for ckp relearn

I was trying to do the ckp relearn and I followed the instructions for lowering the idle, but I am unable to get the throttle idle below 10.

It briefly goes to 9, but not long enough for the relearn to take place.

The instructions say to raise the rpms to 4k or above for 4-5 seconds, then the throttle should drop below 10, but it doesnt, it drops to 10 and stays there.

    Anybody else have this problem?

We made the throttle max too low for some ETC vehicles. We "assumed" that 10% throttle is well above idle, I guess it is not on your vehicle.
The next software release will not restrict the CKP process based on throttle position.
That should be available this weekend.

    The latest release is here

but that still has the 10% throttle restriction.
If DD is correct (I haven't checked for sure yet), then you can still start the test by pressing F3 - even if the TPS is >10%.

How long does the process take after pressing the button or F3? Should it take 30 seconds, 5 seconds?

I tried pushing F3 even when it had been red, then i viewed the dtc list and there were about 4 faults that the ckp relearn had failed.

Check out this list of criteria:
    http://www.efilive.com/forum/viewtop...=1988&start=10

After you press the F3 key, you must bring the engine up to 4500-5000 (varies depending on model-year) withi 5 seconds. At around 4500 rpm you should feel the momentary hesitation.

The latest version of EFILive V7.3 allows 10 seconds.
