    Default COS for 4.3L Vortec V6?

    Is there a COS for a 4.3L VortecV6 2002???

    Which one would it be? Prefer COS5.

    I know the OS is 12212156 and I tried to use 02020005 but it wouldn't start

    maybe it had the wrong segments.

    Did you do full flash of 02020005 followed by cal only flash of your last 12212156...?

    Or, alternately, did you copy each and every table (table-by-table) from 12212156 to 02020005, save to file and then do full flash of this 02020005...?

    I did a full flash of the 02020005 with the file having the correct tables installed into it. all at one time.

    Should I flash the 02020005. download it from the pcm and then reprogram with the cals?

    I got worried when I saw diff code segs from OS to OS. The blazer uses the same OS but are the segments compatible?

    Copy the segments that you need and do a full flash...

    The segments may not be compatible.

    How do you copy the segments over?

    Is there a thread on how to do this or is this like manually copying and pasting the code starting and stopping at certain hex locations?

    Open 02020005 as the calibration,

    Open whichever 12212156 as the alternate (that you want to get a particular segment from);

    Then do Edit->Copy->Entire Segment->xxxx and in the confirmation popup click Yes or Ok;

    (where xxxx is each of the segments you want to copy, do this for each segment);

    be sure to save the 02020005 file when done.

    Thanks so much!

    But you can't copy over the OS segment right? Isn't that where the COS5 functionality is?

    That's right, you can only copy the segments other than the OS.

    Copied them all and she purred like a kitten on the first crank! This will make the tuning alot easier!!

    The only part that is hard is finding a segment for a NVG3500 5 speed. Everything out there is 4L60E.
