Have him leave the Express Van tune in it and put in your V.I.N. Have him turn off V.A.T.S. and delete Generator codes, put in your gear ratio and tire size while he is flashing it.

Here's the list of vehicles that used the 12200411 PCM.

You're cool now. To use the pcm, you need to make sure it is a 5.7/4L60E or whatever engine/trans combo you are running.
Some of those trucks had 4.3/4L60E,5.0/4L60E, and also 5.7/4L80E combos. I've got most of the combos in TCII format. I don't know how they will transfer to EFILive, but you can probably find the right file here.

If you want V.A.T.S. to be operational it still functions just fine. I did the 0411 swap in my vortec s10 4.3l and just did the 30 min relearn and all worked fine. Also if your truck is a 4x4 you need to use a 4x4 tune outta a s10 and just copy the engine segment over for the 5.7l.

Im considering doing the swap. The 1998 Vortec computer(I'm finding out) doesn't even have half the parameters to mess with as the LSx style pcm....Would I just need to find a 0411 pcm that has a V6 tune in it to work with my 1998 V6 Vortec?

GAMEOVER, any 411 PCM will work. You will just need to put the correct OS and calibration file into it.
