Read codes from other OBDII vehicles?

I'm 99% sure I already know the answer, but can EFI Live (Flashscan V1) read basic failure codes from non-GM OBDII vehicles? Trying to help a friend with a 1999 Honda/Isuzu SUV.

Hi Ryan, welcome to the forum...

It cannot read OBD-II from any vehicle that does not use either of the following:
- GM Class 2 (J1850, VPW),
- CAN/ISO 15765 (GM LAN/CAN);

so your friend's Honda is not supported;

his Isuzu may use a GM PCM/ECM, so it may (or may not) be possible to read OBD-II data and generic pids; it probably is not.
