    Default tuning out fans

I have a spal fan controller for my ls1 swapped truck so I dont need the pcm to turn on the fans. Im looking to cut all the power wires for the fans out the engine harness but I want to make sure I can do this without throwing a code or freaking out the computer. If anyone can lend any insight I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

You should be OK as most if those are outputs with no feedback to check. Why don't you just run a relay to turn on the SPAL fans when commanded by the PCM?

I agree with Howard. I would let the PCM control the Spal relay. Then the fan on and off temps could be completely tuned with EFILive.

    Hmmm,

You can go to table G1203 in your tune and set the fan option to NO FANS.
But, There aren't any trouble codes for them---So it shouldn't matter.

PS. Are you on the 47-59 truck forum?
