    Default Bidirectional mode...

From the scantool running on your laptop, ,it allows you to manipulate some of the PCM functions (e.g AFR, Advance, Idle, MIL, CASE Relearn), and it allows you to drive the various engine solenoids (A/C, fans, AIR, EVAP), the various automatic transmission solenoids (Gear, CC, 3-2, PCS), and the various manual transmission solenoids (skip shift, reverse lockout).

With key on engine off, you can hear each solenoid click on/off as you cycle it from the DVT tab.

With engine running, you can [temporarily] control AFR, Advance, Idle, Gear (when on dyno), PCS...
but be careful to not damage any system
... read the service manual and understand how each system works.

    The purposes of DVT/bidir mode:
    - diagnostics (see service manual diagnostic procedures).
    - dyno: holding a particular gear, testing AFR/advance.

know where i can get the service manual? ok i have a wideband hooked up and at WOT its about 11.9, so the truck is running very rich. so i can lean out the AFR on the DVT a little bit and monitor it right? same with the spark, if i add say like 2 does it apply only for WOT?
