Default Who's converted an '02 6.0 truck to electric fans?

Has anyone here converted an '02 6.0 truck to electric fans? What PCM pins did you use to wire the fan relays so the PCM could control them?

    Thanks

I have an 02 6.0 that I swaped in a Yukon and I wired the fans like a V8 car setup with 2 fans and 3 relays for high and low.

Pins 33 and 42 are fans pins , on the 02 I think 16 can be used if 33 or 42 is populated .
I used a factory harness (05 1500HD does not come with e-fans) , but there are schematics for a DIY harness , be careful and use fuses if you do a DIY .
I think the harness is #15216042 , fits under fuse box in factory position .

Don't forget to enable fan #2 by changing {G0106} to Fan#2.

Hey guys...I have an 02 Tahoe with 05 silverado fans.

I've got the 2 fans set up, but one of the pins is used for a "recirc door" for climate control so, It appears I can't use the fan controls to run them independently like in a C5.

Anyone know how I can control them from the fan console automatically?

Chuck you have two choices, the first is to have one wire control both fans. The other is to disable the PCM control of the recirculation door. As for as the HVAC control, the recirculation door will still be available. The PCM will place the door in recirculation mode when the A/C pressure is too high to help the pressure rise. Once the pressure goes down, it can be in outside air mode if desired. I would prefer to have staggered fan control, down here when you are using the A/C it is usually on recirc anyway. I'm not too sure how your customers use theirs.

Glad I found this thread, I want to do the same thing with my 2000 5.3l. Are the fan pinouts the same for this ECU?
