    On some transmission calibrations/controllers, selecting Manual 2nd keeps the transmission in 2nd gear except under excessive throttle in which case the controller selects 1st gear (regardless of the shift lever being in M2 position)...

    D0914 controls when the controller upshifts to 2nd during that situation.

    Not all controllers do this.

    See also D0919 (2->3 override of M2).

    If this table were zero'ed out, would it always hold second gear, or would that potentially cause a problem?

    I'd love to have the "2" position hold second under all throttle positions. It would come in handy, e.g., climbing road to Brian Head peak at 11,000 ft with 6 people and 6 downhill bikes in the truck....in that situation I may want more power, but I certainly don't want first gear.

    Yes, I believe so, all zeros will hold 2nd in M2... I remember placing non zero values in D0914 allows WOT 2->1 while in M2

    Thanks, I'll give it a shot then.
