Did you accept the default folder locations when installing?
Vista is so anal about where software gets installed.

The EFILive default install folders are:
    \My Documents\EFILive\V7.5
    and
    \Program Files\EFILive\V7.5

For some reason, the software has configured its registry settings with the calc_pids.txt file is located here:
    C:\EFILive\V7.5\User Configuration\calc_pids.txt

    Normally it is located here:
    \My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\User Configuration\calc_pids.txt

On Vista I recommend uninstalling and re-installing with the default folder options selected. If you are asked to delete the registry settings during the re-install, select "yes" to delete them. Those registry settings are the ones that contain the folder locations and by deleting them, it will allow EFILive to set them up correctly again.

P.S. Once the software is up and running, you can change the folder locations in the Scan Tool Properties window on the Folder tab page.
