Solenoid differences

I'm told that the 6-speed and 5-speed solenoids have different properties, although close enough to work (I think just the trim and TCC solenoids, since those are the ones that have different connectors). Are these different properties something that we might be able to change with EFILive to make a 5-speed TCM work better with 6-speed solenoids?
