First connect the cable to the vehicle and then the PC. Turn on the ignition and then start EFI_Live. You will then be allowed to perform a "full" reflash. This is the icon with the thick red arrow. You will get a warning as well. Read up on the manual for details on the warning.

That is exactly what I did, it only took about 20 seconds and said that it was complete (it should take a couple minutes correct). After I turned the key off and waited for the countdown it did come up with an error message. I will get the complete details when I try again at lunch.
You did a full flash and not a cal-only flash...?
Yes i did do a full flash, if I attempt a write cal only it will not allow due to OS's being different. When I perform the full flash it only takes about 15-20 seconds and displays a message saying Reflash completed successfully, I click ok and then it instructs me to turn the key off and it counts down from 15.
After that is completed I get another message that says cannot create file c:\program
Files\efilive\v7.5\configuration\PCMlocks.ini" Access is denied
I have attempted this 4-5 times with no success.
If I click on the "Test" button next to the "Start" button it will simulate the entire write and take a little over 2 minutes. I am confused.
Hmmmm... if you're running Vista, you have to have Admin privileges when installing and/or running EFILive.
Can you copy the text log that is displayed during flashing, and paste it here...
(you will need to go into options and disable the 15 second timer display).
I am running Vista, funny thing is I can read the PCM and write a calibration only, the only thing that I can't perform is the write entire. I will copy the test log and post it up as soon as I get a break at work.
A full flash operation should take in the region of 2:45 to perform, the calibration only flash is around 30 seconds odd. Is the problem that you aren't able to perform the full flash because the button is grayed out? If this is the case you need to connect FlashScan to your PC/laptop before opening the Tune Tool.

You can click on the write entire icon and it goes through the write way to fast (around 20 seconds) I cannot get the snapshot up due to time issues here at work, anything else that can be attempted?

Can you please locate the file:
\My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\Bug Reports\YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_Download.blx
where:
YYYYMMDD is the year, month and day
and:
HHMMSS is the hour, minute and second
that you attempted to full-reflash the controller.
Please send that file to me at [email protected] and
include a link to this message so that I can correlate
your file with this message.
