Default Front Doors Don't Stay Closed New to EFI Live

I'll try to sum this up as quick as possible. Just getting my feet wet with efi live i have the scan and tune was working on my 06 tbss needed to enable the e fans for it. I read the tune safed at as a backup for myself everything works or atleast the doors still latch. Looked at the wifes 06 Grand Prix GXP was wondering what the speed limits were decided i'd just read the tune and check the file so I read the tune ect... Closed the doors thought nothing was wrong i remember last thing i did was turn the key to off and pull the key out when it was doing that countdown thing. Well now it's the morning wife come inside says he door doesn't stay closed hmmm.... looked at it well the door closes on the latch but you can pull the door right open again and it's the same with the passenger side as well the back doors work fine. So it's just the front two doors doing it and i have no idea what i did or if i did anything wrong but really need to get it fixed. All I've did so far was re read the calibrations and i'll copy and paste a log of that and dissconnect the battery for atleast 20mins Please anyone help

yes sir that was all i did. Just pluged everything opened up efi live tune selected the E40 for ecm I wasn't sure what was what so i just looked it up on efi website to see which controller it was and they said 05-06 use the E40 and 07 uses E67 so after that i checked the status with the key in the on posistion 1 click away from starting it status gave me a green check mark clicked the start there were no errors it gave me the prompt to turn key off and wait the 15 seconds after the 15 i closed out and unpluged the v2. I'm not sure what to do I called a tuner i know and he wasn't sure what to tell me he doesn't get into the body computer much he said he said unhook the battery. I have no idea what to do.

My guess is that the BCM (controls door locks?) is upset at the serial bus being busy (i.e. with traffic between ECM and FSV2).

Try pulling the BCM fuse, wait a few minutes, and re-install fuse.

Well I got an answer to my question and it turns out it was just a coincidence and dumb luck but it turns out that the door latches inside the panel were froze I washed the car that day but in the morning and had it sitting out in the afternoon a little bit of sun outside but it was still cold and where i'm from i wish winter was over it should be over that's for sure but i guess it made something freeze where it would close but it wouldn't hold the latch down to keep the door shut. I ended up calling the dealership and they didn't know what to say and they sent me over to the body shop and he said i should take off the panel ect.. well i asked him you think something could of froze inside he wasn't sure but anything was possible so i drove it into my heated garage and a few hours later bingo and this whole time i thought i did something wrong.

anyone know of any threads dealing with displacement on demand setting to perhaps boost miles per gallon?

Your TBSS doesnt have DOD, DO NOT TRY TO ADJUST THOSE SETTINGS!!!! You will seriously screw $hit up, the LS2 does not have any of the hard parts necessary to run AFM/DOD.

On the GP GXP, Id have to see the stock tune you pulled (dont know if those have DOD or not, I think it has the 5.3L LS4 w/DOD but I might be wrong).

Yes i did know the tbss doesn't do DOD but the grand prix gxp does and it does spot the ls4 motor and well i kind of looked over the stock tune and at a glance it will only engage when the tps is at like 6 percent i guess and at a range from 650 rpm to 3000 rpm and some other stuff like vaccum controls it also but heck seems like you should be able to change the tps setting to like 10 or a bit higher.

Also on the TBSS 06 model i'm going to engage the efans and was wondering if i can just turn them on with how the screen shots of http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=301 that link shows and the harness i have connects up by the fan shroud? Is there anyway to get those ls1 fans to run on a low and high setting like my ta can do?

What harness do you have? If its a PCM4Less harness, give Alvin a quick call and he'll tell you exactly what needs to be done.

For your GXP, start by changing the TPS to like 10-15%. That way you can touch the gas without it disengaging immediately.

Im pretty sure you can get the LS1 fans to run lo/hi on your ride. I just got a set of LS1 fans off a Camaro a few weeks back, going to buy the PCM4Less harness in early June after I start work and can afford to spend money on mods. Mine might be a little trickier as I have an 08...

I would also upgrade your TBSS to the 2Bar COS. Its free, just apply it and full flash your ECM. That way you can command the fans on earlier than 192F. Just make sure the Boost VE table is set to the last row of your Main VE table. Leave the MAP sensor values alone as you're only running a normal 1Bar MAP. Then rescale the fan table to your needs, the values stay the same when the upgrade is applied so you need to manually adjust it.

Erik I'm going to be honest I've been trying to read as much as i can trying to learn all i can about this and I just having a hard time understanding it which i think it is due to just reading it and not having much time at all playing with the software. I was always going to get my car tuned with my roadrunner unit and have the guy teach me a few things in the process but just haven't had the time yet.
So i dont know what that means by the 2bar COS? and dont know what VE stands for either? Also not sure what the boost ve table is where it is and how to set anything on that sort. All i can say I'm sorry I'm all self taught on pretty much everything I know how to do and there is so much to learn here it seems.

I know what you mean, spend a few hours looking through your stock tune and reading table descriptions. It takes a long time, but it will save you time down the road.

You wont be able to use a roadrunner on your TBSS or Grand Prix, your Trans Am or 00 Silverado you can though.

COS= Custom Operation System. 2 Bar COS= provides a COS that lets you run up to 2 Bar of boost with accurate fueling and spark controls.
    VE= Volumetric Efficiency
Boost VE = VE table that represents once the engine has gone above 1Bar (14.7psi) of pressure, or when in boost.
Main VE= normal VE table that represents engine operation when out of boost.

You dont need the Boost VE table on your SS unless you plan on blowing it, but the rescaled fan tables are critical when running a lower tstat and efans.
