Default Low fuel rail code P0087

I have two race tunes and one keeps throwing a code. So Im guessing it demanding to much fuel. Do I take fuel out of fuel pressure base or main injection pulse? Thx

take it out of pulse, your pulse is opening too long and the pump can maintain pressure anymore. You'll either have to bump fuel pressure or reduce pulse width. Look to maintain a 23,000 psi pressure or higher. hope this helps!

How much pulse width are you commanding? You should be able to hold 3000 uS pretty easily.

Josh, seen one of your tunes on another forum. Is it stock safe for 06 lbz? Thx

I haven't heard of anyone having any trouble with it (I assume you mean stock engine and not stock transmission).

Stock internals. But dyno'd 546 to the wheels not to long ago. Just curious about your tune. Timing 40.9 at the end, may never reach that? Found that my shim kit was not working and replaced it with a race valve. Put a 15psi spring in the AD and BAM prob fixed.

So if my race tune is throwing 87, I should not suspect a bad relief valve? Instead adjust the tune? Why does this vary from truck to truck? And please explain about the shim kit and the mod you did to get rid of 87. It can cause limp right? THANKS!
