    Default Timing ATDC

How far after tdc are you guys letting the injectors stay open? 42 deg. seems like a lot to me, but im not running a post shot and am curious what some others are running for atdc timing.

    Thanks!

My max is 42*...however my post maxes out at 15*ATDC...and it's only there to aid in spool, after xxxxRPM it's gone.

How's the smoke at 15* ATDC?? I"ve got post completely off and was just curious if I should maybe put a little in here and there.

For my setup, post is beneficial in killing smoke and getting the charger lit and airflow up.

I was running 90's and a 66mm, and now 180's and a 66mm and with post...I am smoke freeish under most conditions.

    Thanks for the reply.

So have you found if there is any bennefit to having the main shot last that long after tdc?

I tried cutting it back to 20* atdc and I feel like I lost some power by sop, so I will take it back up to the 42* that it was.

To be perfectly honest...I've never messed with changing it...we found in BETA that it seems to work the best set at 24*.

Guilty of going with the flow...

Going with the flow... I know what that feels like!

I will leave it alone at 42* for now, my limiting factor is that I am on stock injectors and am running out of PW to get the fuel that I need. All is well though, I seem to be able to supply more than enough for the poor stock turbo as it is...
