That table shows a "Hot Shift" and I'm wondering what that is, it shows a hot shift 5>6 at 317mph. Maybe you could explain it and if I can get into the table, I could make the changes.
Pattern A is typically daily driving, pattern B is tow/haul (or sport mode in cars) hot mode is if the trans is detected to be in an overheated state, kinda like a protection mode. Setting it to 317 is GMs way of saying if its overheating you won't be able to use 6th. One of the patterns will be cruise control, but I'm not at my laptop to look up which one that is.

Be patient. It's really pretty simple once you wrap your head around what is supposed to happen. Until then, yes, it's hard to see the forest for the trees. Just be patient and take lots of time studying the tables to make sure you understand what each does.

Have you read out the T43 tune yet? You must connect to the T43 controller and read it out separate from the E38. Are you trying to read with your V2 connected to your computer or are you just connecting the V2 only to the vehicle? That method is called BlackBox operation and you must make sure you have loaded the T43 module into the V2 from your computer first, otherwise you will never be able to connect to it. You can change those settings under the BBX tab of the V8 scan and tune software.

First tho, make sure your firmware is up to date, and your software too. Connect your V2 and check for updates in the scan and tune V8 software.

Also, whoever you purchased your V2 from is supposed to provide you with adequate instructions or explanation of how to get started. If not we are more than glad to help you out
