Looks exotic
Good job making it fit
Very nice! I'd like to do a set of ITB's on mine, if I can get them at the right price. I'd probably go the Harrop though as they do the FBW. Is it strange that 3 of my browser tabs are open on Harrop, Kinsler and Jenvey web pages?
No even to a non car nut they look fascinating and expensive.
Cost wise for me the Jenvey's are far cheaper especially if you don't buy their ram pipes and air boxes. The Kinsler's are on another planet cost wise!
I stripped and re-wired the engine loom over the weekend and have all the parts for the fuel lines so theoretically I could try and start the motor soon.

It's taken me a month to make the air boxes with a few learning experiences on the way! I'll fit the lids at the weekend.
Anyway I was surprised how well the motor idled initially with a rough guess of the fuelling etc. around idle. Which allowed me to quickly balance the TBs. I now know installing the MAP was a good move and my 222/224 baby cam hardly troubled the PCM. Using just STFT corrections the car easily idles at 14.4 AFR (E5 fuel).
You can't blip it too much as MAP goes rapidly to full atmos. and obviously the PCM thinks you're at WOT and bogs the motor down. So I may have to switch to Alpha-N yet to actually drive it on the road.
Here's a quick vid of me blipping the motor. The camera has a duff MIC and loses most of the mid/bass so it makes the motor sound like a sewing a machine! It's louder in person.

Good job... looks great (even without the air boxes)
Very nice! I'd love one of those setups.
You're no stranger to ITBs, this isn't your first rodeo tuning them either. If memory serves correctly, you've been down the alpha-N road before on 4 supercharged cylinders.
1998 GMC Sierra K1500 5.7/4L80E, longtubes, 411 w/COS 5, marine cam/intake, Whipple. 91 octane at 6000'.
1997 GMC Sierra K3500 7.4/4L80E, 411 w/COS 3, Whipple, small cam.
2004 Corvette Z06 with longtubes.
^^^ you might be referring to my Se7en style Striker kit car with a supercharged 4AGE 20V motor. If so then yeah I guess that was ITB though they were all factory so fully setup to begin with. Main difference this time is I'm doing the setup and mapping myself. All my previous projects have been running OMEX 710 ECUs and the guys at Mech Motorsport in Cheltenham, England did all the mapping for me.
If you'd have asked me if it was running Alpha-N then you'd have got a blank look!

Might have been before the Rotrex superchager was fitted but then that was a blacktop engine as well. The engine above was a silvertop with an exhaust cam and the C30-94 supercharger. At the time I was fairly clueless about the various tuning modes. I mostly put it together and let the guys map it on the dyno.
