    Thanks for the reply
Trying to flash a 96 Impala SS with 24x and repinned stock harness.
Pins at the Blue LS PCM connector were just verified by me today. All grounds good. 12v switch and constant good. Serial good continuity between ALDL and PCM.
The ALDL is verified to have power by plugging the V2 box and the V2 box comes to life, (not connected to laptop).
Am using Laptop with EFI Live Scan and Tune V8.2.2
I use the (activate licence) and (full flash) and each give me $0101
The laptop is connected to the V2 box and then the V2 to the ALDL.
This all works perfectly on my Silverado 2003.
The 2 PCMs I have tried are "new" from EFI Connection.
Is the "new" PCM required to have some sort of Factory flash before my EFI Live can flash it?
    thanks,
    Karl

    Hi Karl,

Yes, the PCM's need to have been flashed. EFI Connection would have flashed them, check with them.

    Default From Error Codes pdf

    $0101

    No data received

USB cable is faulty or not connected.

In rare circumstances the PC operating
system or the EFILive software may be
    malfunctioning.

In even rarer circumstances the FlashScan or
AutoCal device’s USB circuitry may have
been damaged. That damage occurs when
the laptop is powered by a voltage inverter
    supplied from the vehicle’s battery.
A power inverter must never be used to
power the laptop while it is connected via
FlashScan or AutoCal to the vehicle.
Check USB cables, plugs and connections.
Try using a different USB port and/or
    different USB cable.
    Try rebooting the PC/laptop.
Try using a self-powered USB hub between
the PC/laptop and FlashScan or AutoCal.
Try re-installing EFILive software which also
    re-installs the USB drivers.

Thanks for the advice joecar, i have tried all you listed 1st. I found that the file i pulled out of the truck was bad only 1/2 the size of what it should be, re read the truck and file was normal size and loaded just fine. Something must have happened on the download or save to corrupt the file.
