connecting with EFIlive

Hello every one

had efilive v4 pro for about a month and still having trouble connecting to my 2001 vx 3.8 v6 ecotec
my last try came up with ( com timout: expecting frame header byte ) I am getting very frustrated
with this program, on the disk it says connect and diagnose in 60 seconds
I have a program to test the aldi cable and it pass
Does anyone in the western suburbs of Melbourne run this program on a vx, I can visit and see how it works
at the moment I have a problem with my idle and I would like to fix it

Did you select the VX V6 XML file in the software?

on the weekend I managed to connect with my ecu
it was some settings in the timing section how ever when I connect I forgot to select vx v6 xml and it was sending and receiving data
for a long time so I stop it I will try tomorrow when I get home
can you tell me when I do connect how long does it take to receive all the data from the ecu

What data are you trying to get from your ecu ? Efilive V4 is only a scan tool.
