My 2000 Corvette tune shows 28degree of advance. It appears the 97-00 Corvettes had the higher degree of advance while the later Z06 intakes (01-04) had 17-21 degrees of advance

The 243 heads feature fast burn chamber design, this does not require as much timing.
Also remember, less timing means you have a more efficient engine...you want the least amount of timing possible. But, it's an imperfect world with compromises on engine/head design, so some less efficient setups require more advance (and keep making power). As always, a dyno is your BFF here, you'll be able to figure out the best timing for your setup quickly.
