Having trouble installing v7.5 on a microsoft surface pro 2 using windows 8.1. Downloads the whole way, then comes up 'This App can't run on your PC' when you click the setup download. What are we doing wrong?

You have Windows SmartScreen enabled. Either reduce the level in the Windows OS or right click the setup file, at the very bottom you'll see a "Security" section. Check the "Unblock" checkbox, click OK, double click to run. It will work just fine. You will need to do this on any future updates (and for a bunch of other apps).
I find it's a headache, so I personally disable it. I would not recommend this unless you are an experienced user who knows how to deal with potential virus/malware issues.
Good to know those are the minimum requirements! 100MB of RAM, don't get too crazy here Paul!

Remember in the late 1970's when the TRS80 came with 4KB RAM, and Tandy/RS offered an upgrade to 16KB... everyone said "why do you need so much memory?"
installed the latest version of efilive. now getting this error on v7.5 tune tool. all else seems to work correctly. any ideas? this is the first update i have done since upgrading my machine to windows 10. the pervious version worked correctly without issues after the windows update. i am an admin and only user on this PC.
Although you are admin are you running the software as admin ?
Try right clicking on the EFILive V7 icon and select "Run as admin" to see if that cures it.

I tried uninstalling and re installing a few times. I deleted efilive from registry editor. And re installed software. Nothing seems to work. I'm stumped and usually pretty good at this stuff.
