    Default need some guidance CM2450B

ok so im new to this flashing world. i have know idea what im doing when it comes to computers but im proud of what i have accomplished so far. heres what i have

2020 Ram 2500 6.7 IA8001.03 (according to my OBD Scanner)
i took the truck in a few years ago for the fuel pump recall so i can only assumes i have the CP3 upgrade. i have a calibration for IA80025 as Jim P says its 100% CP3

i have a IA80011.04 file that ive been tinkering (IE Cummins weight loss )

i have managed to add DTC cax files into the tune file but it seems a little garbled and not quite what i was expecting it to look like

so far ive managed to read and find what i think i need, for good reason theres no 'hey heres how you do this" tutorial out there and like i said earlier im proud of what ive been able to gather and accomplish so far, but i have a feeling its not as simple as i think

    my questions are:
can i flash the IA80025 file into my truck? (id still have to add the cax.8 file with the added parameters)

can i change the OS And CalID in the dtc .cax file to fit the IA80025 base file?

can anyone take a look at the file ive been playing with and tell me if it will work or not, and if im going in the right direction?

my trucks in its final warranty days and ive been having some dpf issues that the dealerships giving me the run around on (honestly i think theyre just waiting my warranty out)to d
the end goal is to remove some parts and not have a check engine light on

now i know i can just buy what i need online but im more of a DIY person that likes a challenge and its a good feeling to say "ya i did that"

any help would be greatly appreciated........also theres a few people on this forum im hoping chimes in on this as their information has lead me this far

I'd recomend sticking with the firmware version you currently have installed in your module. You can flash whatever file into your ecu, as long as it's compatible. Feel free to contact me, I think i have an idea of what you're trying to accomplish. Changing OS and CalId may not be enough, firmware update revisions can often change the Hex addres of a map area or a byte sequense

you can flash any OS that matches the truck ie trans type in the 5th gens. To make sure it's a cp3 file the best way is to use a 21 OS. However then you won't have CSP shift on the fly. U could either make a CCV shift on the fly file out of the 21 OS or import the cp3 parameters from the 21os into the 19 or 20 os that efi offers CSP patches on. I imported the cp3 parameters into the 190s, 52.19.07.00 so I'd have csp soft and datalogging.

How did you import the parameters into the 19os, compare both files and make the needed changes or is there more to it than that? For the CSP, I have not been able to get those parameters to open with any file yet, but I also don't have the flashscan as I'm still undecided which route to go. From what I have read it seems I need the flashscan for the CSP upgrade. I'll worry about that once I'm confident a have a correct tune file to flash. The only 19os I have is 52190300 and I have 52210200 for 21os.

I've kept my truck stock for 5 years and would have kept going that route had it not been for these DPF issues I'm having. I'm just trying to make sure when I do the change its correct and I have no derate/mil lights.

I don’t have enough posts for PM yet. I tried posting my email but it said a moderator had to approve my message before it would be visible. Who knows how long that will take

go to your settings and then general settings section and turn private messaging on and to receive from all members. used to be you could just click on the users name and select to message. I can send you a message if you enable messaging and have enough posts. i just tried and it said you either didn't have messaging turned on or had enough post.

I have 2021 CP3 pump CSP for EFILive. Pretty sure I know what you are trying to accomplish and the DTC table won’t help. Done right you don’t even touch the DTC table.
