    Default Possible root causes

    I'm looking at purchasing an LLY that I came across on FB Marketplace. Looks like all the normal upgrades have been done, ARP studs, upgraded turbo, new transfer case. The price looks great for what description and pictures, but it cranks but doesn't start and has a leak at the Turbo Thermomatic valve. Owner says that the crank/no start is due to a fuel pressure regulator or the fuel filter housing not allowing it to build enough pressure to get fuel to the engine. How likely is this diagnostic or could it be something deeper? I'm new to the diesel world so I figured I would turn to a forum.

    It could be what he described. Pull codes. It could also be the FICM.
