Default 6L90 Can I program a new Valvebody assembly?

I'm ordering a new Valvebody assembly including tehcm for the 6l90 I just rebuilt. I made tweaks to the old tcm tuning over the life of the tranny. I want to go back to factory tune but I dont want to pay $130 to have the new tehcm calibrated by the seller. Can I just do it once its in the truck same as loading a new tune in the old tehcm?

Where did you order the TCM from?
Some will supply them with a file from SPS already loaded onto them.
If its a new TCM without any file it will need to be flashed with MDI from GM with the latest file.

Thanks. Thats essentially what I needed to know. It's a transmission shop over eBay who does reman valve bodies. I just wasn't sure if something had to be loaded in first or if I could just do it with my EFI live. They charge an extra $130 bucks to load the calibration.

Its normally 125-150 at the Stealership to get the same thing done. So 130 isnt bad as long as you provide them your VIN so the proper file can be used.
