    Default Maybe i'm missing something but... (V2)

    How do you get the transmission file out to look/alter it on these new cars (using V2)?

    I'm trying to get the transmission file out of my mom's 06' Monte Carlo SS.

    Also, has anyone had weird readings while logging? I logged my mom's car and all the fuel related stuff was going crazy on the log (LTFT's, AFR, duty cycle..etc) but its fine with my car.. (V2) I was seeing like 300% duty cycle down to 0 and back, +80% LTFT's, really high AFR all fluctuating up and down all over the place.

    First of all, stop messing with your mom's car. After all she's done for you, you want to go and turn her vehicle into a hot rod?

    What you're seeing when logging is pretty typical when you use LS1 PIDs on an LS2-based system. You need different PIDs for CAN based systems (LS2) than you do for VPW (LS1). I've set up two different dashboards and PID files for each type of vehicle to make switching back and forth easier.

    When you want to read the transmission controller, you have to select TCM instead of ECM or PCM prior to initiating the read.

    Also, goto File->Enter VIN and enter the correct OS id and transmission (auto/man).

    The T42 transmission calibration support is currently being tested and will be released in the next week or two.

    So, what selection of PIDs do I need for LS2ish stuff? I'm not seeing anything different to change as far as PID selection..

    There are a few subtle changes. Depending on what you're logging, you'll need to look for PIDs that report rational data. SAE.MAF, GM.AFR_B, GM.AIRPERSPEC are some of the PIDs that are compatible with LS2-based systems.
